Charlotte Van Horn - Comedian Extraordinaire
About Charlotte Van Horn - Comedian Extraordinaire
Charlotte Van Horn began performing while vacationing on a Carnival Cruise Ship. She was such a hit that, Al Ernst, who was the professional comedian on board, invited her to open a show for him at THE COMEDY ZONE at Windows over DC in Arlington, VA.
She began to perform at open mic contests, birthday celebrations, private events and local venues such as Central Station, where she opened for Antoine Scott. Her hilarious stand up performance about “Facebook” earned her a spot as 1 of 50 comedians selected from over 400 candidates to compete in the NEPHEW TOMMY 50 COMICS DEEP CONTEST held at the famous COMEDY HOUSE in Columbia, SC. At that time, her nephew, Duran, gave her act the name CHARLOTTE VAN HORN - COMEDIAN EXTRAORDINAIRE, and she LOVED IT!
She continues to develop her craft through training with organizations such as THE DC IMPROV and TASHA SMITH ACTORS WORKSHOP and has recently been awarded small parts in the upcoming movie productions of BURDENS TO BARE and FAMIKA VS. THE TEA PARTY. She has developed a loyal following and has a booking schedule that is filling up quickly.
She describes her act by saying “My performance is very flexible, and it is ALWAYS my priority to provide audience-appropriate humor.”
Others are using words like “fresh,” “new,” “hilarious,” and “talented” to describe her act.
